Mr. Washington received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Education from the State University of New York, a Master of Education from Kutztown University, an Administrative Certification from Penn State University, a Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility from the Pennsylvania Department of Education in 2003 and completed his post-masters’ work at Lehigh University. Most recently, he completed the National Institute for School Leadership Instructional Coaching Institute of the Pennsylvania Inspired Leadership Program. He is a proud graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh cohort 30.

 

In his various capacities from a classroom teacher to Chief Executive Officer, he has dealt with labor relations issues -including contract negotiations, principal supervision, child accounting, strategic planning, human relations, and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission/Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission matters. In addition, he had developed and facilitated Board development as well as Central Management Team growth.

 

Max DePree explains in his book “Leadership is an Art”, that the first responsibility of a leader is to define reality and the last is to say thank you. In between the two the leader must become the servant and a debtor. The signs of outstanding leadership appear primarily in the organization. Is the organization reaching its potential? Is the organization achieving its required results?

His coaching and leadership skills have been sharpened by his tenure as a Chief Executive Officer and Coaching credentialing from the International Coaching Federation. He has provided organizational leaders with the ability to answer the aforementioned questions.
